Can the PSP GO use the old PSP memory stick duo?

I have an old psp 1000. I like it because it’s big and feels comfortable. Since the new PSP GO is out, I want to know if the the PSP GO can use the old psp memory sticks. I know that the PSP GO uses these new micro-sticks now. It’s just that I have so much precious saved data on my old memory stick & I don’t want to waste it all if I were to switch to the new PSP GO!
