Do the wii component cables really make that much of a difference?

Sure, running my Wii in 480p IS a little sharper, but some games have more jaggies (which I heard is because the isn’t an HD system). I am using a Samsung T240HD HDTV/Monitor (24″, full HD) as my TV. Would I need a bigger TV to notice more of a difference between the 480i and 480p? Or will the bigger screens make it look worse, even on 480p? Btw, I have the official Nintendo Component cables (got them on eBay brand new for cheaper than other stores).
