Best Digital audio recorder?
Could anyone please rank the following recorders in terms of best quality recording (I don’t know what the Kbps or PCM, etc means as I am new to this all)
Here are the ones I am looking at:
Olympus DM-420
Olympus LS-10
Olympus 700m
Olympus 600s
I am looking for a nice quality stereo recorder that can capture good audio outdoors (nature sounds, birds, river water, etc) of the ones mentioned above. I have a friend of a friend who is selling these particular models above (as he is upgrading to better equipment) and they’ve been each offered to me for a decent price.

I live in an old buildind, old. I’m trying to replace a 2 prong wall socket with a three prong. While removing the old outlet it shattered so I couldn’t see how to wire were arranged. What’s inside the socket were two black, one white, and one blue. My multimeter is brokem (just found that out, awesome) so I have no real way of checking the flow. I’m assuming blue and white are negative, hooked it up, nothing. If anyone has an idea to what this configuration means it would be helpful, thank you.

I don’t know how to make out. In movies you see they do a normal kiss first and then you see their jaws open so much more. How do you do that? How do you do that without toungue? How do you do that without teeth bumping into each other. Help?!

Why might a voltage meter read positive on an entire main wall?
I’m trying to drill into my main wall in property, but everywhere I scan with my voltmeter reads positive for voltage and metal. I’ve tested the meter on a ‘normal’ wall with electricity cables I know to exist, so why am I getting a positive reading for the whole wall?
Sorry when I said voltmeter I means a 2in1 reader that detects metal AND voltage. Both are appearing as positive all over the wall.
The property is a flat in a converted larger building – might some of the conversion walls/lining be responsible?
After reading some of the safety instructions, it sounds like I might have foil-backed plasterboard walls. Might this cause the metal detection all over?
